About Us

Started in 2009 we provide 24/7 care, rehabilitation and release of indigenous wildlife and domestic animals. Between organising food and other supplies, feeding and careing, full-time jobs to support the shelter we even go on rescues throughout the Yarra Ranges and the south eastern suburbs. We are mainly specialised on Gliders, Possums, small carnivores, insectivorous, cats and dogs.

Located on the edge of the Yarra Ranges National Park. We are working closely together with the Monbulk Emerald Wildlife Shelter in Monbulk and the Jillyara Wildlife Shelter in Nar Nar Goon North. We also have a strong connection to the South Oakleigh Wildlife Shelter in Oakleigh and the Bungalook Creek Wildlife Shelter in Mount Evelyn.

Wildlife care and rescue as well as domestic animal foster care is 100% voluntary work. We do not receive any funding and rely on donations and grants. Since April 2016 we are registered as a not-for-profit incorporation as well as charity.
